Baldies Boards are an operator who strives for safety on the water but also pushes the fun element. We find fun learning sets in better than monotonous learning, yes we are a tad bonkers, but you have to be working with Captain Baldie!
The Captain Baldie
He moved to Norfolk in early 2019 and created Norfolk Paddle Meet Up face book social group.
By the end of that year he won a local hero's award (for and on behalf of Norfolk Paddle Meet Up) for their safety on the water campaign
He has continued to get qualified in all things paddlesport and also recently passed his power boat level 2 (Power Boat Handling Course)
He became a trustee in 2023 for the North Walsham and Dilham Canal Trust and is now their Boating Officer .
AquaWoman
AquaWoman joined forces with Cpt Baldie in 2023 to help him run another site, she started as a volunteer but as her confidence grew, so did her crazy ideas. She introduced paddle and play, made up various games and then (with a mental nudge) went for her qualifications.
She keeps the Captain on his toes, controls the behind the scenes operations and is always coming up with bonkers ideas to make things fun and lively.
She also makes a mean cup of coffee!
The Captain Captain!
The Captain Captain is Norfolks very own pirate. Born sometime in the 1600s, he has never grown up, has only 1 friend (a bootle of rum) and lives on a ship somewhere in Great Yarmouth. It is well known that The Captain Captain and The Captain Baldie do not get on but have an arrangement, When The Captain Captain comes to land, The Captain Baldie goes on board to man the vessel. Hence why you never see the two of them together. He is well known to appear at kids paddle and place sessions and can be a little boisterous at times.... BE WARNED
